Giving it to the Greek
It is FINALLY starting to feel a little cooler in this neck of the woods and that means so many fun activities are happening!! One of my absolute favorites is the Greek Festival!!
For those of you who do not know me, I should have been born Greek!! I love spinach and could put feta cheese on EVERYTHING!! I love those two things so much that I usually eat them for breakfast!! Amy’s actually makes a frozen pocket that I usually pop in the microwave for a few minutes and eat in the car. It's fast, convenient and SO delicious!!I am borderline obsessed with these!!
Well kids, I am off to the Greek Festival for dinner (and probably lunch tomorrow too) but I hope everyone has a great evening!!

Excitement All Around
Wheeeeew kids!!!! I went on vacation and never came back…or
so it seems!! It’s been a hell of a few weeks around here. I had too much fun
in the sun in Edisto even with the boat breaking down!! A bad day at Edisto is
still better than a good day in Columbia!!
Once I came back to the real world, I worked a little and
then spent a fabulous, long holiday weekend on the lake with my second
family. I did not do anything besides thoroughly enjoy myself. I even had the
luxury of being chauffeured around the lake in my dad’s Donzi by my “little”
brother. It was exactly what the doctor ordered!!
As if things could get any better… one best hometown ladies,
who also happens to be my roomie, got
ENGAGED over the weekend to another longtime friend of mine!! He is a pilot and
he took her flying over Charleston and popped the big question!! I introduced
them many, many moons ago in Clemson so I couldn’t be more excited that two of
my friends are tying the knot!!

My Slice of Heaven
It is FINALLY that time again…time for me to return to my
version of heaven on earth…Edisto Beach.
Growing up, it seems that everyone has their
go to beach that they choose to escape to for vacations. Chances are, if you
grew up in my small hometown, you vacationed at
Edisto. Edisto is not like your typical beach vacation town. It is very small and quaint. There is only one grocery store and a handful of restaurants but that is truly all you need. After all, you are there to relax!
Not only is Edisto itself beautiful, the drive down is even more amazing. You drive through old small towns with beautiful roadside churches and fat century old oak trees. As beautiful as the drive is, nothing comes close to the first smell you get of pluff mud!! And let me tell you friends, there isn't much better than the smell of pluff mud because that means one thing and one thing only, you are almost to the beach!!
I'll see all you crazy kids next week!!

It's only the beginning
Well Ladies and Gents, I am finally starting a blog. I
figured, why not? Everyone else is doing it!! What’s wrong with a little ol’
blog that tells the world my business?!? Sometimes you might say to yourself,
this girl is full of it and you will probably be correct. That’s what makes a
good blog right, a little truth, a little BS, a little advice and maybe some
goods finds!! I will probably say some things to make people laugh and I will
probably say some things that might upset some people. In the words of Scarlet
O’Hara, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn!!”
Now that we got that out of the way…let me introduce myself
for those of you that don’t know me. I am Liz. I am an only child, true friend, godmother, DU volunteer and supporter, baby lover, government worker, chocolate lab owner, lover of the
water and vodka drinker with more confidence than a fat girl deserves.
